Just finished first night powering a portion of my house with my Powerwall 14s100p. Ran out of "juice" at 5:55 am, awakened by the beeping alarm from the UPS connected to my computers in the room next to my bedroom. Ran a lot of lights, computers, microware oven off and on. Still trying to get all the settings configured correctly on my Schneider Electric Conext SW 4048 Inverter/Charger, and the PCM60X charger from MPP Solar.

The PCM60X is supposed to come with the MPPTracker 1.0 software, but I did not appear to get it, or maybe it was misplaced. If someone knows where to download it from if it is still the desired software to help with setting up this charge controller, that would be great. Currently it is running on the default settings, and not intuitively obvious how to work the menu on the display, so control through a software program connected to my laptop would be very helpful. It is probably setup for LeadAcid battery as default, and I need to change all of these settings. Have already done so with the Schneider inverter/charger menu.

Any help for a newbie is appreciated.

Up late getting the Schneider unit configured. Electrician left the AC backup connection breaker off by mistake, otherwise may not have shutdown, but at least I have some idea of what I can power, and for about how long.

Found the CD from MPP Solar, now to get it transferred to a jump drive so can install it on my MS Surface, and try to connect to the PCM60X.

Making progress. Me and my "sparky" buddy are learning!

Got MPP Tracker installed, up and running. Only way to connect is via the serial data cable. Had to run Ethernet cable through attic to drop down into my computer room. Would be a lot better if there was a way to get it to work via wifi. Anyway, have both the MPPTracker and Batrium BMS system up an running with both on my second monitor. Now to find a way to look at both remotely...

Not sure how you have your computers setup, but you could consider using Real VNC or RDP (Remote Desktop) for remote monitoring...

I plan on using a mini PC (Intel NUC) mounted near the rest of my equipment and remote desktop over Wifi to connect. From outside of my network I would use a VPN, but there are other services you could consider using without needing to poke holes in your firewall.

I have create a project on Github, there is a solution with a raspberry Pi. This is a web solution , so you can connect te pcm60x with the pi and after you can monitor and modify some over your browser. I have also a demo side :

Bud thanks for the share - starting going through the process of setting this up now. I'm horrible at this type of thing but keen to get your solution working for me would be great

It would be great to have it dump the data to a MySQL database. You could get a long history going and be able to generate graphs with grafana or similar :)

what's wrong with solar-sis from Daniel?
It logs to influx which can be viewed on grafana and optionally to emoncms also.
I use it on a daily-basis and it's great.

MySQL is nice but it doesnt handle large timeseries data well :p

But yeah solar-sis can easily be adapted to any DB if needed.

I have done some major changes in terms of upgrading it all and such. Hope to push it out soon. It should resolve some idotic bugs :D

Hi, Just in the process to setup my PCM60X,
I set in MPPTracker Battery Type to customized. and then, as my config is 18650 2X7S 10P (for testing) I want to change to Max 53.3V (4.1V per cell)in order to extand battery life cycle.
But I'm not able to modify the value: Battery Absorption Charging voltage and set a value over 15V the same for Battery Floating Charging voltage. Now I let the Rated Battery voltage to auto, but same problems when I tried to set it to 48V.

So I was thinking dividing my target 53.3V by 4 (48V / 4 =12V) to have the right value? 13.32V???
Any idea why I cannot insert the 53.3V value? Thanks, Chris

EDIT, yes, the values need to be divided by 4 if you have 48V based voltage... Hope it helps. More info there
