Hi all,
Ive been building a powerwall fora while now using a pip 5048hs as in the pic,

when Iturned it on,after 10 mins the watts go to 0w and it stops charging, Ive even tried to put the setting to utility charging and it still only charges for 10 mins, the batteries (which ive set on the inverter to 57.4v) are NOT up to full charge either,
What could I be doing wrong?
Please help,
Thanks,
phil.

If I see your powerwall setting correctly you have 28x4.1v=114v which is way too high for Voltronic inverters.
You should arrange your wall this way: 14s80p to supply your inverter with 48V

Hi ibiza, Im not sure where your looking to see 114v, the 238v input you see in the pic is from the grid, my setup is indeed 14sx80p but I have 14x2s (Im not sure how to number it) giving me 28 packs totalling 57.4v at 4.1v per pack :)

I think you mean 2p14s80p ;) That is, you have 2 strings in parallel of 14s80p.

If it's cutting off at 10min almost exactly each time, I would take a look at thermals. Make sure it's got plenty of cooler air to pull through the unit; the fan is working; a vent to/from the area where it's housed.
Also, it could be worth taking pics of each setting in the PIP so we can see all the settings. Maybe there's something you overlooked.

I dont think it will be over heating, its not got any load on it apart from charging the packs and the door is left open, and it does it at 10 minutes every time?

Quick update,
Ive looked over old posts on my NEW OFF GRID 48V BUILD thread and WIM wrote:- (disable float charging and check settings).
So I set the float charging voltage to the same as the bulk charging voltage in effect disabling it, it now stays on charging, the only thing is, the charge led doesn't flash anymore but at least it works ok now,
Can someone please confirm this is ok to set them the same or correct me if its not,
Thanks for the help so far.

And a massive thanks to WIM for the post on the other thread,
It all looks well now,
All the best,
Phil.
