As part of my bulk, 500kg/1103lbs, laptopbattery purchase I got about 20kg/44lbs of recovered pouch cells.
A rough guess of 4kWh of potential storage?
Now that I have gotten through thehigh capacity, >2.4Ah,18650 cell packs I am looking to see if it is worth processing these.
So after initial sorting I am left with this lot.
I selected only packs containing cells with >3Ah.
A spot check on some packs showed 70-80 SOH.
I do still have about 250kg of 2.0-2.2Ah 18650 batteries to process.
Surprisingly some 2.0Ah cells tested at 100% SOH.
Now that i have aYR1035+ Battery Internal Resistance Meter those gems should be easier to find.
I think I will just box these back up and save them for later.
Question, would the need to compress these in use still be applicable?
I do not see the laptop frame they came out off providing much holding force.
