I have a written off Renault zoe with the battery system all intact
I want to use the battery potential to power my house both from PV and low cost grid charging at night
My plan is to divert and unused roof power to the battery and top up using cheap night time energy through the cars own three phase charger
I intend to leave the car fully intact and parked outside probably covered up... the onboard bms and battery conditioning should take care of the batteries without
any work. I have only two problems... problem one is does anyone know whether I can simply connect to the HV pins of the ccs connector to extrac power?
But I guess the hardest problem (and I have searched hard on here) is what inverter to use??? my existing inverter is a SolarEdge 10kw 3ph grid tied inverter fed from panels on the roof, I wish not to disturb that, Ideally I need a 3 phase ac connected battery grid tie inverter??? depending on cost I suppose I could use three single phase grid tie inverters, but not knowing how to communicate across the CAN/RS485 leaves me at a loss, the inverter would be fine at around 5Kw a phase.
I also need the inverter/s to not feed to the grid, grid limiter set at 0
Many thanks in advance to any help you can provide, we live on a farm and heating oil is all about at bankrupting proportions
I attached a proposal I sent to solar edge, but the came back with same old it wont communicate... thier units are perfect I just need a way to fool the RS485 remember I don't need any charging protocol as its all taken care of by the car

Umm, why?? If you are answering the questions posted by the OP, then answer them here for everyone to see so that others who may have this system or similar can learn from the details.
There are no questions in the OP that require a DM to answer. Considering this is your first post, @woleg, it looks very suspicious 👁️

Hi, I needed to ask some questions regarding PII and had to ensure that was done privately for reasons of confidentiality. All further discussion will be public.

How did you get on with this?
I wrote off my 40kwh Zoe in the ice in December and have now replaced it with a 50kwh (my 4th Zoe). I would like to use the batteries in the written off Zoe for home electricity storage but I have found no information on how to go about doing this with Renault batteries. I would be grateful for some pointers to anyone who has experience of doing this.

Hi, Almost there with it, I hope.... You need to speak with Woleg, he is helping no end with the bms required to activate the battery

Hi, I needed to ask some questions regarding PII and had to ensure that was done privately for reasons of confidentiality. All further discussion will be public.
Hi Woleg, I contacted Craigeng about his Zoe project in relation to my reply to his post above, and he suggested I contact you. Are you able to offer advice or, even, is this professional work you do?

Hi,

I’m still at the testing phase. Our Kangoo/ZE40 packs have been running for over 6 months now with the Solax/FoxESS protocol.

It would probably be better to start a new thread in the coming days.

Hi Woleg, I was unsure who you meant should start a new thread but reading your replies, and those of others, to my original thread ( https://secondlifestorage.com/index...ve-with-40kwh-of-renault-zoe-batteries.12113/ ) I think you are advising that the degree of hazard is such that this project should not be undertaken lightly and so I should leave it. Happy to be told if you feel I have misinterpreted this.
