i scaled it a little bit for the pack holders and use 50% infill. Unbreakible i think :p

How does the negative side of your packs look like?


Thanks! The negativ side looks like the possitive side, both fused with 3A axial glass fuses (from AliExpress).
I do more pictures / video when i finished all packs the next days.


A Question about Batrium:
can i cut and extend the last pack's longmon cable to route it back to the CMU? I need more than the 25cm..

All packs are finished, my Batrium received.
I have to hook up the LongMon Cabels and the main Battery connecting cables.

Is this ok with respect to the Cell Temp Monitoring of the LongMons?
 
I use higher since i want a Good Bond. To low bad they dont Bond enough

Yes you can extend. Use Twisted psir cable like from ethernet.

Sooo.. Batrium is hooked up since last weekend and everything works well.
At the beginning i had some trouble with the SolaX integration - the both SolaX CAN Bus Protocols seems to be
for the G1 devices / or they are buggy.
I tryed the 'LeechiProject' Protocol an now everything looks right :)
My inverter tells me 'LG BMS connected' - right! :D

For the moment i use 30A charge / discharge current (max. 500mA/cell in my 14S60P Setup)

I use the range 3.10V - 4.00V right now, that gives me round about 150A
For Bypass voltage i set 4.05V and cut off voltage to 4.20V - this should work out, right?
I still have to tweak the SoC for my range, has someone a idea?

Next steps are adding more Fans in the cabinet (Summer is comming..) and to add
the next 840 cells in parallel.Than will to to max. Inverter current of 50A.

I printed a little cover for the ABB Shunt to prevent touching the terminals,

i read that the best cycle life would be 3.2 V -3.9 Volt. With that you loose some useable power but make the cycle life again alot greater.
Still wanted to write you since you are also in Germany and just 70 minutes away.

Maybe we can meet at some point when i am coming closer to get building my packs.

So far everything looks very very good and like a pretty good installation.

Hi Nils,

yes, this was the original plan - i think i chance back to it. Doing some more tests.
BTW: i did come discharging tests for the LG INR18650-M36 with a SKYRC MC3000, see charts.
The min. top level is 4.00V, so i have to test 3.90 - 3.20 in my Powerwall with the live system.
All charge/discharge with 500mA, 50mA end current.

here we go :)

- SolaX X3 is HV (=High Voltage) Hybrid inverter. Battery Voltage range 175-500V.

- SolaX Hybrid 2 and the most other inverters used here by users running 48V
(See User Manuel:https://www.solaxpower.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/User-Manual-X-Hybrid-Ⅱ-DE.pdf)

- 'Lychee Project Protocol' emulate a LG Chem Battery. See point 1. So dont think about it ;-)

- My SolaX Hybrid Gen. 2 is running perfectly for my application. It runs 6 month without any fault just with PV and a few weeks with my Powerwall.
Right, the German Support is not good. Best way is to contact theChinese Support via Facebook (answer is some hours) or the GB Support.
Example: i ask the german Support for new Firmware. Answer after 3 Days: You have the newest version.
[size=small]Chinese Support sends me new Firmware after 2 hours... :D

- I havent used the EPS output yet. It is comming soon.

- Batrium works perfectly, good Support and a good sleep ;-)

Its time for a update :)

My powerwall has now been in operation for several months and works perfectly.
In the meantime I have extended my PV modules (now total 22kWp, east, south + west).

My 'old' LG Chem RESU Powerwall has now moved into the garage. Traffic jams: since 06/2016 594 cycles, 91% Health(SOH).

Now the next 1400 cells from NKON have arrived and the pack is connected parallel to my 14S60P setup.
2800 fuses are waiting vor me :dodgy:

When adding the 14 new Packs to parallel - how close have the voltage to be? Is 10mVenough?


2 packs are already finished, I have changed some things to my first setup:

Busbars
Instead of stripping and twirling cables (previously 3x4mm) I have
Copper rods with 4mm (= ~13mm) diameter are selected. The costs are a little bit higher, but it saves a lot of time.
Final charge / discharge current is only 50A.

I have applied an additional isolation pad, a lot of work - if it is really necessary, I don't know ;-)

Battery cabinet
Currently I am installing partitions made of Fermacell between the individual battery packs. Background was the thought to protect the neighbouring packs in case of a fall.

Finally the powerwall should have about 28kWh / gross, 17,8 kWh (going from 4.00V - 3.40V gives me 2.2Ah per cell) should be used for long cyclelife.

10mV is more than enough. Especially if you hook them together above 4V or below 3.3. Since hte energy potentiall is so small there then you dont get much current flowing . You can actually easily have 100mV diff at those levels. If you are unsure hook up a 12V light bulb 100W in between. If it doesnt glow.. Then your basically safe :)

The new Packs batterys comes with 30% SoC, 3.57V, so the whole new Pack as round about 49.98V.
My idea is to discharge my older pack (as close as possible) to that voltage and hook them together, that should work without sparks, right :D

- I see you are using XT90 connectors which are 90A I rather like this design as it allows for easy removal of the packs, even though they are 90A rated have to check if they get warm, and or the cable for any warmth ?
- I also see that you are using what looks like 8AWG from the packs to the inverter, almost all other installations I see that people are using battery cables 6AWG down to 2AWG have you monitored those cables and their temperatures ?

for anyone else here who would like to comment, would or wouldn't they recommenced this type of cable usage and why ?
I seems a lot neater and cleaner installation and technically the cable sizes are supportive of the currents so I can't see why this could be a problem ?

You are right, i use them for easy and fast disconnect on maintenance etc.
The XT90 connectors are 90 Amps rated, when the are original from AMASS and no china junk.
BUT i use 1 connector for the positiv side and 1 for the negativ side with 2x 8 AWG cable.
That gives me (with my 50A max charge/discharge) 25A for each parallel way and 12.5A on each XT90 connector pin.
ATM i use 30A for my 60P bank, 15A for each XT90 pin - nothing warm, easy going for them ;-)

The 2 8 AWG cable are going to a collection point. Im going with 35mm (~ 2 AWG) to the inverter. :idea:
