Hello guys,

I started my adventure a few months ago with a 3 phase system (Victron multiplus 48/5000) + cerbo gx+ smartshunt + simpbms and 4 modules of Tesla battery (5.3kwh). I've encountered a small problem, SimpBMS doesn't update SOC value overtime, if the battery changes it's SOC, the SimpBMS doesn't update, I have to power down then power up so I can get a the SOC to update on display and on Cerbo GX, in VRM online I get all the data from the battery cells voltage and its update on the Nextion display too, i did a re detect battery (in VRM) but the SOC still doesn't update to the actual value, i don't have a current sensor connected to the SimpBMS. Here is a SS from my current set up, the SOC from the BMS is from 4 days ago. Is this normal? I've updated to last firmware for SimpBMS. I don't know what to do next. Thank you.

I use simpbms with bmw i3 batteries. I vaguely remember having the same problem and it was an easy fix but was 2 years ago and can’t remember what it was. Do you have dvcc enabled ?

When you connect a computer to simpbms and look in the menus with termite there are a few settings you can play with for soc but even if you had them wrong I’d expect some movement . It almost sounds to me that Victron isn’t using simpbms. I had a similar problem which I managed to correct with dvcc and a bit of playing around in the simpbms menus. This is what I have on dvcc menu in photo attached . Don’t know if that will help.

Hi,
I got the same settings, in VRM, like you do. Do you got a current sensor? for SIMPBMS. I read somewhear I have to enable in SIMPBMS, an option to approximate the SOC from cell voltage. But I didn't looked yet.
