I am going to do the same but I try to make 400V pack with Batrium. Or 48V pack using Victron 3phase system.

Hi just wan't to quickly come back to this. I have a "SolarEdge SE7K-RWS StorEdge Hybrid 48V" and want to build a DIY 48V battery with most likely a Daly BMS and some 280ah EVE cells. I know in SolarEdge there are just a couple of batteries like LG, BYD configurable for CAN bus. What settings did you use, did you even connect the CAN bus? In my opinion the SolarEdge inverter has to know the size and state of charge of the battery.

Thanks for a quick feedback.

Hi I have Lgchem10 in the inverter and pylon tech in Batrium WM Core.
yes I have canbus connected.
the inverter stops automatic when it comes down to 10% (battery saving mode)
the inverter reads SoC from Batrium and yes it is working ok.
some issues with the ramp mode but I figured it out,(ex,if I going to charge with 60amp I write 6amp in WM and so on)

Hope this will help you a little.

Thanks for you quick replay sounds like you've just chosen the LG battery size which is more or less the same capacity as your "DIY" battery.
Okay let jump into this an order some batteries from China to test, worst case I can still sell them for more or less the same here in Switzerland;-)

It's really hard to find support and other people which built DIY packs connected to SolarEdge inverters.

@Pelle sweden would you mind capturing some of your rs485 traffic from your Lgchem10? I'm looking to connect my diy battery to my SE7600.. but am unsure how to satisfy its needs.
