These have a pretty odd behaviour. They jump from 2.8V to 4V in less than a minute, then the voltage increase slows down and it takes a few hours to get to 4.2. Is it just me and all of them are bad or has anyone had similar experience with these cells?

Created a new thread as it's an "issue" with your cells, not in general. Please make your own threads and not hijack anothers (intentionally or unintentionally)

Depends on what type of charger/tester you are using. But the Sony GR series of cells do exhibit odd behaviour.

I personally wouldnt use them mixed with other cells in a powerwall. IR is to high and discharge and charge curves are different.
If it was all I had and could use them exclusively then yea. Otherwise no.
The V series seem to be better.

Fully charge them and then test for capacity to filter junk from good.

If they were stored for a long time you may expect such behavior.

Generally, if they charge very fast (completely) it means they have very little capacity left, but there may be exceptions (like in your description when you say it takes a long time to end charge even if they reached a high voltage).
