I just pulled 6 of these from a Dyson vacuum pack so I suspect a fairly high Max draw.

It was 21.6 V / 1080 mAh and 23.5 Wh,.. cables in the pack were 16AWG.

Mine are the 'T11' versions.... The interweb suggests they are 1100 mAh and rated for max 1C (10A) continuous draw down to a 2.5V cut.

Maybe I don't have a full understanding of ratings and draw current, but as I understand, a '1C' rating would be a 1.1A max draw, as I was under the impression 'C' means 'capacity' and you multiply the C by the C rating (in your case, 1.1Ah x 1 =1.1A)... Or, as another example, a 2,000mAh cell with a 5C discharge rating would be a 10A max discharge...

Please correct me if I am misunderstand the rating system for cells... Your assistance is very much appreciated!

I also have old dyson batteries. how did you get the 2 cells out of the plastic holder that are held in by glue without applying force onto the cell to force it out. advice appreciated tks :angel:

HI

I have recently finished harvesting 18650 cells from over 200 Dyson vacuum batteries. I tried all ways to not damage the cases but it was not worth the time. I t can be done but it is quite difficult and fiddly. I began prying thecase apart at the joint with a flat blade screwdriver. the case has 6 clips, 2 on the top 2 on the bottom and 1 on each side. you need to bend the plastic up out of the way of the clips. depending on the battery version you may also have a small black Torx screw on the front of the shaft. to be honest I ended up using a hammer to crack the case and pull it apart. much faster but bit dodgy maybe. worked for me but I'm not recommending it.inside the case are 6 18650 cells. if you get a V8 battery they are bigger 20700 cells with higher capacity.

I made 2 videos of opening the cases.

I am now in the process of capacity testing each cell.

I plan on making a Powerwall wall with around 1200 cells.

Found these cells in Hilti Cordless tool batteries B22/3.3 21.6v 3.3AH

It was very difficult to liberate them from the holders. Damaged the shrink on almost every cell.

Realised I did not answer your question about the 2 stuck with glue. I made a temporary lever from wood, screwed to my bench which has a dowel pointing down. I use this to push the stuck cells out. It damages the sleeves nut i can replace those.

Do you know what the cells are? They are not 18650s as those 3.6 ir 3.7v.
 
Thanks guys for the info on getting the last 2 out of the dyson 6 battery holder. originally i was applying force to thebattery and and forcing the last 2 out. of course demolishing the sleeve. then i started to cut the plastic with an angle grinder and bend it open - pretty dodgy - still cuts the wrapper. is there anything that will disolve the glue holding the last 2 in the case

I found a bunch that are SF versus SE, any thoughts on the difference? my measured IR is larger than the 29mO spec'd in the datasheet given in the comments, but capacity is testing in the 1100mAh range, which seems accurate.
