Those cell holders are very nice!! I think as long as you test your cells properly, let them sit for self-discharge testing, etc, you won't need to replace cells often, if at all. The hope is the packs all degrade at the same rate so you don't have to keep playing with them once built and in service.

I wish I had the skills to do 3D modeling and printing. You're pretty much making whatever you need yourself.

3D printing is surprisingly powerful. I always thought it was cool, but mostly impractical. My mind has been completely changed.

And after 1,000 cells into and out of these 3D printed cell holders, I can honestly say -- they ROCK. I dreadhaving to insert/remove cells from the Opus, but the others are a pure joy.

Hey all, been a bit since I posted. Project has been going slowly, but picking up now. I have a couple videos about my 3D printed cell holders and my testing station. Enjoy!

Like the Single cell holders. Any chance you could share the file?

Can I ask what the 'several' reasons for not using a meanwell 12V PSU for the OPUS was? I have a 12v 24A PSU here, but curious as to why you didn't choose to go that route?

Didn't know how many testers I'd end up with, didn't know if I was going to use them for charging or only testing (charging requires far more power than testing), was unsure about how the voltage sag might affect capacity tests, didn't want to void the warranty, didn't want the headache of trying to find matching male barrel connectors, and maybe the most important reason... it just seemed easier to use the adapters, and I'm lazy.
