Uhm, I did do a test with that calculator and also looked at other sites with a ton of info. I wrote to check the busbar ampacity because the value I got for a 7mm x 1mm busbar was very low.

I didn't actually try converting the size of a copper wire into a flat busbar...

For wires I can say for sure that the most realistic measurement I found until now is the 4A/mm2 rule. It matches both what I see can measure on my house wires and in my lab. Based on this rule a 2.5mm2 wire (13AWG) can carry 10A, which is a realistic number -in italian houses a 2.5mm2 normally carries 16A (@220V is 3520W). I touched these wires under maximum load (16A) and they are just slightly warm. So a 6AWG / 13.3mm2 can carry up to 53.2A (against the conservative 37A you'll find in most Amp tables).

I'm not sure how to convert a round area to a flat 1mm bar... I was no good in geometry!
This is what i was wondering from when i was recently fitting an electric cooker with the feed on that.

Think i will be rolling with some 6AWG and 4 of them per module side.
