Hi all
Would like indput on how temperature effects capacity.
I know that capacity drops with temperature. If normal op tempetaure is defined at 21 deg. C, how much a capacoty drop could one expect at for instance 10 deg. C?
Procentage wise? Does capacity drop with temperature follow a linear curve?

Or is it individual from cell type to cell type?

Any idear on how much capaity drops with a decline in temp fra 20 til 10 deg. C ???

Thanks - lots of usefull info in that link. Workshop in basement is about 8 - 10 deg C at the moment, so god to know what influence it cirka has when testing cells.

Check out Battery University. They have loads of information about performance of cells/batteries.

more heat ->higher internal resistance-> that gets even more heat ...
If cell is very bad it will keep heating until CID pops or it vents ... after venting .. there is no liquid so it will start burning :) but you have to abuse it very very hard :)

more heat less time to get energy stored ;) so less mAh
