Wondering if anyone has dismantled the Tesla Model 3 2022/2023 LFP 60KWH battery. Looking to get some cells for use on a off-grid 48V inverter. I only found one youtube video where they pulled it apart but did not split the cells.

One of the forum founders did a few youtubes on Tesla battery tear downs - go to youtube@hbpowerwall and search Tesla to see older tesla module internals.

The overall conclusion I get over the years is that it's *really* difficult to break loose individual cells in Tesla modules / not worth the effort because they're just covered in 'gue'?

There are other sources for 2nd hand, individual cells worth exploring. For example, I just got 3,000 x 2600mah cells, practically new, for 42c/cell including shipping from Battery Clearing House - https://www.batteryclearinghouse.com/collections/all They're typically packs where one can break out the individual cells relatively easily.

Not sure of you're country, but in the US there are at least 3 trustworthy sources I could recommend - Battery Clearing House, BatteryHookup, and Jag35.com

Yeah that's the conclusion i am getting to since there is hardly any info on it. I was thinking of cutting them into small blocks of 4 or 8. I am in Sydney Australia. I will take a look at the youtube channel, thank you for your response. Curious if anyone else on this channel did try to cut the LFP prismatic cells specifically.
