Crimp Daddy what BMS are you using. I'm using this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/7s-Cells-2...ard-Balance-US-/202432610584?oid=171928469404 , With all the balance wire's on the pins. A B- to battery neg, A C- to charge controller neg.

I have a couple BMS boards including the one similar to what you linked, the BMS8 unit, and the PC / Bluetooth BMS boards which is what I an testing right now. The Bluetooth BMS system I do like... having the ability to monitor and program the BMS adds a lot of value for me.

I haven't had time to really get into it, but my initial impression was positive.

I also have this BMS but for ebike. For my 13S battery. Was rated 60A and cuts when reaches 40A, do not know why... But except that works great.
For Jehu's PCB, do you know where to get the latest layout? As I do not have FB account couln't get the layout... Thanks.

Here's the official link from Jehu's kit page:https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/s...rdQwUz?_encoding=UTF8&mgh=1&tag=jag35com05-20

Thanks for the info. I just opened in the Gerbv app, sorry, first time I do this, I can see there are 8 layers, right? And if I go to the jlcpcb web site, I can see that I can select 6 layers max. So did a miss a step? Sorry one more time for really dummy question. Chris

This PCB is only 2 layers. Top/Bottom layer for traces. There are no middle traces. So selecting 2 layers would suffice. Also, anything over 2 layers starts to get pricey

Unless the gerber is also referring to the silk screening and labels (?)

Ordered everything, thanks. One point, I've seen that to get 51.8V battery Jehu connected the two 25.9V packs in serial wiring the Hex brass Standoff together. Wouldn't it be better to connect the two 25.9V packs via a wire like this? (Of course with more appropriatedAWG wires and XT90).

That is how I do it... I have a series cable made using my Anderson connectors to go from 24v to 48v...Its pretty convenient way to go about it from a maintenance and versatility standpoint. It's also useful for other things like putting a multimeter inline for current readings.
