YHKAM cells are huge, they were packed in a tomb of tape as one friend says. Not to mention the double and triple wall very heavy cardbaord box. I check voltage on 2 of them and 3.26v on both. the other half should be here soon. The fed ex delivery person actually placed them in the box on the porch unlike 90 % of delivery people.

The remaining 9 came today. Packed superbly as the first box. out of 17 only one subpar voltage and I am gonna try to get charge it. Battery Hookup is doing good.

Update on the.28v cell got it to 2.1v. The x8 finally clicked over from precharge it is now at 3.217v and slowly climbing now if it will hold the charge. Least now it is putting in some Ah's? Amps? into the cell. it has put around 6 Ah into the cells so only 84 more to go. Well not tonight 4 more hours 40 Ah only putting in 10.71A. Hoping for the best.

What are the specs on those cells? I didn't see them on the battery hookup site.

Yes it is a handful. Need to charge Them all up to 3.65v, 3 are down 14 to go then I can test do a discharge test on them.

I think I have determined the size of the nuts I need. m12 coarse thread either 1.5 or 1.75 pitch and m10 1.25 pitch. I think I need flange nuts zinc, stainless steel or brass? The studs look to be steel
To late to run to the store tonight. Gives me something to do tomorrow.
I have charged 5 cells to 3.65v charging the 6th cell now.

Nope not a m12 12 is too small and not a m10 1.25 pitch. 13 of the cells have been charged to 3.65v. might have to complete the charge tomorrow. Once all the cells are charged to 3.65v then the fun starts need to find a battery bank I to do a regenerative discharge into.

The last one is on the charger as I type 30 amps really does fill the cell fast. Now I have to find a suitable power source for the regenerative discharge. I could discharge to one of the byd batteries. Or I have a couple 12v LA deep cycle starter batteries I could use.

I need to get the nuts for the posts on the cells M10-1.0 and M14-1.5 I would like serrated flange nuts but that is looking less and less likely. I may have to go with just regular nuts and lock washers. Is there a certain type of nut for large cells?

The specs are at the bottom of page

Anyone else quit reading the specs when they hit the part of the translation noting, "Significant decline in sex"? :ROFLMAO:

Cheers, John

I have the cells in 3 parallel strings one 8p The others 4 p and one cell extra. After I charge them back up connected in parallel. I need to test the cells for capacity. After that they will go back into parallel groups and be charged again. Sh*t they are heavy. I had planed on putting them in a harbor freight/pelican case clone but I have to figure out another plan, The case is deep enough for 2 to fit in it but it is not wide enough can only fit 7 across. Would have needed mounted on a dolly, as the single 8p cells are a bit much to handle.

I picked up 4 of these cells as well - do you think they could be used as a 12v power source for tab welding?

I am not sure I would think the short circuit amps would be quite high. Keith over on kweldUSA thinks that it would blow up a kweld. you could always test itput a 4s battery pack have a dc clamp meter. myself I am gonna use them as a temporary 48v battery so I can test the inverter I just got the beganning of the month.
Later floyd edit*Should read keith over on Kweld North America*

Sounds like a valid concern - they are much bigger than headways (which are very powerful) - probably would end up being a tab melter rather than a tab welder. Mine have been sitting on the bench for past two weeks - found voltage dropping a bit over this time span. Are yours holding voltage ok? Since they are used, I guess its to be expected. Good for testing as you are doing - nothing long term.

Do you have yours cells paralleled? I have them paralleled in groups of 4 had them in 2 groups of 8 too figgen heavy and the cells have stablized ~3.34v.. I need to capacity test at least a couple should do them all.

I only got 4, connected in series for a 12v power pack. I'm a bit disappointed as 3 are fairly well matched but the fourth cuts out first on both low and high ends. I'm still getting 80Ah from the pack. Now just need to find a box to fit this in or maybe build a box. I'll include a small inverter, USB-C ports and some Anderson Powerpole connectors.

Looks good mine are now connected in parallel. The Apache case I have is too small for the 16s config I was planning.
I Like your wood holders, I was thinking of Plastic cutting board or plywood. I have a JBD 16s LiFePO4 BT bms for the build.
