Has anyone done anything with laptop li-po packs?

I have used 180 of a different typewith some success, but I have another 100 (PA5136U-1BRS) from portege z30 which I can't find how the power good signal works. Am contemplating selling the lot or dismantling them and rebuilding into packs, but if I could figure out how to get power in/out of them it would be easier.

Ahh, gotcha. I've had google share links break sometimes when going through a forum. Not sure why. It can be quite annoying. If you pull an image directly from the search results, try to get it's source link, not the one that google provides.

On to the OT!

I have 2 of these, tho not sure if they are Toshiba or not. But I haven't done anything with them yet. So not sure what I'll find on the other side of the wrapper.

I used google photos, to upload the image. I've done it that way before and it's been fine. Fortunately this forum lets you upload.

The cells inside these packs are 4XSanyo UPF486590, 3.7V 13Wh.

I went ahead and processed my batteries, turned out I massively over estimated, had 43 Sanyo ones and a few more had LG cells with different dimensions.

My method for breaking the spot welds without stabbing the cells or myself.

I left the battery packs as 1 piece because I believe tearing them down further will risk damaging the cells.
Note the (thermal?) fuses, the 4th cell is backwards which is annoying.

End result.

I am waiting on a BMS before I put it into service.
