Do you re-wrap after final testing or right before you start packing and what type of information do you put on the new cell wrap? I would say most of mine look like they wouldn't need a new cell wrap.

I rewrap of the old is destroyed around the plus Pole and can cause shorts. I dont rewrap for the looks since noone can see it

If the cell wrap is damaged in any way I would rewrap.
In my case when building my first Battery I rewrapped all of my cells as they were older cells and I found several that had corrosion under the insulator that was not apparent to normal inspection. See my build thread.

I also put cell #,mAh, IR, and pack#, on the wrapper.

My second pack I did not need to rewrap as the cells all came from the same packs and were clean and new enough so corrosion was not an issue.

I also did not add any more info to the wrapper just the pack # it needed to go into.
I have all the info I need in a spreadsheet by cell #.

Agree with @Daromer's - you can't see them anyway and its a matter of scale -after 10,000cells.the bloom is off and I make my time per cell as minimum as I can - no need to wrap just for fun. But you know, you can if you wish - there's nothing wrong with it :)

I'll confess -It took me a long time to figure out how HBPowerwall got all his cells the same color... kind of a background questionuntil I finally realized that he just has that color out the outside of the packs :)

Kind of doesn't matter, either one works. It's your build. The reason I could see before packing is if you had different colors and was doing something with a little art style to it. Otherwise, it doesn't matter when it's done, just as long as it's "after" the cell has been tested and verified as good.
