Callout to the community!!!

Please post any links to sites where you get your cells/batteries from and what kinds of deals they usually have. Also include where they are located and if international shipping is available. Include any additional information you think may be pertinent.

Once the information is collected, this first posting will be updated with a refined list to make pointing to where get the cells far easier.

Thanks

1 - If near the boarder, possible to use US shipping address & pick up packages from there. Canadian border immigration guards may let you in without making you go through secondary (and paying HST) if you declare your goods for personal use.

Moved to Feedback. Didn't realize that others couldn't reply to it in the FAQ section :p muh bad!!!

I think this technically fits the brief but may not be in the spirit of the ask in that this isn't specifically a vendor. Feel free to delete if so.

Flamingoscooters.com with locations in Palmerston North, Wellington, and Waimakariri New Zealand. Pick up only. Just reach out through their contact form. It'll likely take several days for them to get back to you. Really good fellas.

They're 551Wh 36V Segway/Ninebot battery packs made up of 60x EVE ICR18650s. $10/pack, but they've offered me deal in the past when I bought, like, 60 packs.

I don't know of any Battery Hookup Canada warehouse but they do ship to Canada. If you are near the border I suggest that you use a US border shipping company located close to the US border and just drive over and pick them up. Do they have a storefront somewhere? All I see on the watt4ever.be is basically advertisement of their services, no pricing or such.

We don't have a store-front anymore. We have had some past encounters with OEM`s and we would like not to have such inquiries again...

What sets us a part is that we are in Europe with good testing equipment and processes to ensure the quality and safety of goods.

I'm surprised that the 18650Battery Store hasn't been mentioned.
From my point of view - even the cheapest cell on sale (closest to 2nd hand) is 3 x too hi to get me to bite. 80c/cell - maybe. :)

Not saying it's a bad place to buy - just that the historical focus of this forum was to use 2nd hand (cheaper!) cells.

Compared to used cells I agree but I don't know of a cheaper place to buy new cells and I've gotten tired of the hit-and-miss of used cells. I didn't think the discussion was only for old/used cells and since some of us make packs for others a new cell is the best way to go.
