Hello everyone, I'm new to solar and powerwalls. I'm learning a ton from all of you and welcome all your input and advise.

I found out about the forum through HBPowerwall's videos. I'm very excited about building a powerwall and plan to use HBPowerwall's as an example to follow. I already have over 3360 batteries so now I need to start balancing and making my packs.

My plan isto purchase a Aims 6000 watt 48Vpure sine power inverter charger. Does anyone know if this will work with our 18650s in the same configuration that HBPowerwall has set up?

I look forward to leaning from all you,
Happy Camper

Your 18650 should have 14s configuration in order to operate for the inverter.... Since you have this amount of batteries, is easy for you to start anytime. Inverter takes in DC and convert to AC, any DC voltage & current that matches your inverter, it can be used.

Believe it or not, I was searching YouTube looking for ideas on combining and converting an exercise bike, with an old generator to as a way to 1 reduce our power bill, be it ever so marginally lol, and 2 get the satisfaction that all that effort wasn't wasted on just loosing weight, when I stumbled across the hbpowerwall YouTube videos

Hello everyone,
I was doing some research into solar and battery backup systems. Found several good videos on YouTube and followed them. I have started the design phase of my system, and I am hoping that once I get started building, or before, you all will offer your opinions and recommendations for my system.

I was referred to this forum by one of my friend that is a member of this forum.
So I decided to join the community.

Google. Was looking for some 18650 data sheets. Hadn't really considered using them for a PV battery. I was making flashlights and mobile battery banks from various salvaged cells.

I don't remember the exact datasheet I was looking for. It was one that you didn't have, probably why Google picked up you site with that 'keyword'. For example. The exact cell I was looking for was this one.

When you think about it, it is no surprise, any cell you can't Google a datasheet on is likely to appear somewhere on this site. Being that it is a unique keyword, its not that surprising. I dabble in a bit of web development, and SEO in my spare time.

Hello I found you through an invite by the man of the show on you tube HBpowerwall I think your name is mike but I am sorry if I am wrong . I am bad with names. So I have been watching youtube and came across the channel about the power wall after seeing Garcias powerwall I though why not power my RV with the same batterie so I tried contacting Mike and he told me that the fusing might break but they didn't break for Garcia so I knew it could just work my problem is charging them up after I build them as single 3.7volt batteries containing 200 cells. So I am looking forward to the time working with the smart people on this site who can help me with my problems .

Welcome. I am Mike. HBPowerwall is Peter. Two different people. 99% chance you heard from him, not me :)

Hi there,

I started off with watching Jehus videos on youtube. I watched them all until my wife kept asking me if I am watching "the battery guy" again.
At somepoint he referredto Peters channel, so I headed over and watchedmostof his videos, too.

I only wanted to build my own ebike battery pack and now, 6 months later, I am sitting on ~70 kilos of laptop batteries that I disassemble and test. I don't even have a solar setup yet.. but soon to come! :D
And now I find myself sleepless at night, planning it all out in my head and always thinking about buying yet another BT C3100 charger for faster processing.

Keep up the great work guys!
Greetings from Munich, Germany

Heiko

Oh and reading the forum, of course I also watched daromers youtube channel as well. DIY powerwalls seem to be a rather small world :D

Welcome SunSeeker, it is definitely a small world :)
