Hello
Not knowing a thing about panels, has anybody got a wiring diagram, of how to connect up panels,
Im aiming to use a 48v inverter, and planning to start with 4kw and add later been told to get Lg panels
Thanks

You're going to need to start reading & googling a lot.
Look for info on:
- solar system wiring diagrams
- performance of different brand panels vs cost
- solar panels max power point voltage
- MPPT charge controllers
- inverters with or without built in solar charge controllers
- fusing &/or breakers &/or shunt trips
Learning's good.
Hint: 4kW of solar panels can put out a lot of current so you'll need your battery bank to be capable of taking that charge current OK.
Hint 2: think really carefully before going wind, they need maintenance & a lot of wind to be useful.

When I first started - I round this Midnite Classic Sizing Tool - http://www.midnitesolar.com/sizingTool/
Its tailored to help you choose between the different Midnite Classic controllers - but it does show you a summary of different Series x Parallel output voltage, wattage, and battery current.

You might play around this and make sure you understand what the tool is showing you as it will help you make decisions.

Much of this will depend on the setup, charge controller capabilities, and panel specs.

Similar to batteries you can connect them in series, parallel, or the combination of the two. The arrangement will be determined by the max VDC input of the solar charge controller, and the max current handling. Other factors could be panel placement and issues with shading.

In mobile or marine applications for example, panel shading can be a pretty big issue. Some people opt for multiple charge controllers in parallel and avoided panels in series to not have a single panel bring down the output of the string.
