Hi everyone I'm new to the whole battery pack building but I would like to know what BMS to use for size of battery pack I've seen some people build 7s 80p battery packs with 100 amp BMS and other people say I need to use the discharge current amps of the size of the bms.
So the calculating for a 7s 80p discharge current is 560 amps

So why is the guy have a 100 amp bms

Please help

One application may need 100% of max battery amps and anotheronly 30% of the max battery amps. You size the BMS for the maxampsyouwill draw from the battery-not what the battery can deliver. For example, my battery bank can deliver3 times the max amps that my inverter can pull (before it would blow up)so I size my BMS for my max inverter pull:)
