Hi all
I've been building up my 18650 battery collection (currently just under5kWh) for a while now, and today myVoltronics 5KVA 48 PLUS DUO arrived.
I've got sixx300W panels arriving Friday so the whole thing is coming together and I can finallystart getting it all wired up.
This Voltronics dual-MPPT unit is a clone of the MPP Solar PIP4048 one, which I understand some folks have successfully used tocharge control 18650 lithium ioncells.
I won't be getting my rigall hooked up until next week sometime, so I don't know which firmware it's currently running.I'm not sure whether I need toflash itbefore I can charge 18650s with it. Or can I tweak the settings under AGM / Flooded to charge li-ion OK? I've got my cells configured as 14S, so my plan was to charge to 57.4V to give 4.1V per cell, and then discharge to 49V (3.5V per cell). But I don't know if I cando this without flashing the firmware?
If anyone else has successfully charged 18650s with one of these, any advice / pointers would begratefully received!
many thanks in advance
John
