LTO Powerwall
#81
BMS - none of sorts.... no overall remote disconnect. I just drop the inverter outputs offline when the voltage is low. I need to add a unit as one of the MPPT controllers went into a world of it's own and did not stop at the upper voltage I had set.

Balancer - I have a plug in unit which I periodically use, but should have a setup that is connected all of the time. I have gone with an active balancer that is effectively like a bottom/discharge balancer. I'm looking to add one of these to the whole pack and have been experimenting with a smallr active balancer with a view to adding one per pack.

OSN, I sent them a wire transfer and then cross my fingers that 450 cells would turn up.... no risk no gain. I did ask for pictures and quite a bit of contact before then...

Credit card would not cover LTO being shipped... OSN do FOB, which leaves you with an issue as they get them through export control and terminal in "their own way"... same would likely go for any LTO shipper. Smaller suppliers, I would not trust holding an icecream.
If you can't quantify how much they cost, it's a deal, I'll buy 5 of them for 3 lumps of rocking horse ......

Thank you for the very detailed reply.

Can you share which small active balancer and if it worked?

I read bad things in this forum about OSN so I broke off my talks with them. Maybe I'll reconsider that.
