But now I want more - as in another 24 panels and south roof is full.    So I'm reading the post for any and all ideas....

just build a back yard shed big enough to accommodate 24 more panels on its roof. LOL

Funny you should say that - great minds are thinking alike!    Yes indeed, I've had long goal of doing a shed in back yard - and lately, due to her own interest in expanding her garden, which required a roto-tiller and some other..   I've agreed to share space (and of course DO the rototilling).   So I think she's softening on some more panels Smile .

I just noticed your location is in Oregon and I just think about how rainy Portland can be. It would be nice if you could buy panels in other states like Nevada to reimburse your local energy use. I looked into this in Missouri and they do not accept out of state energy credits from solar farms. I know the main goal is to be off grid all together but it just seems better to put panels where they can soak up the most sun instead of having double the panels.

I repeatedly said - it'll make money on youtube, it'll work - Now if you can imagine a hungry tiger looking at a steak just before it was about to launch its self at said steak - THAT was the look I got for plus 12 months for dumping plus 10k into the project with little return on investment.

NOOOW it's like every month - do you need anything this month for your project lol
Powerwall works, YouTube is a great third income, Community is awesome - it was a happy ending LOLS

I lived in Portland OR for 10yrs in the 80s and was very cloudy/drizzly most of the year.   But now, I live in Southern OR and weather is quite sunny / mild / not bad for solar!

Big Grin
My wife wanted rainharvest and I negotiated panels 'on top of the tanks' - a win/win!   You can see the beginnings of 2" galvanized pipe ground mount framework is under way...
I'll be able to fit 12 or 14 panels at 20deg [Image: biggrin.png]
