Hello :)

Thats my little "powerfloor" created for fun and some education :D

Charge controler is a Tracer 1210AN working with one 195Wp mono solar panel
230V inventer is a cheap 300W solution for truck 24V systems
Cables have a 6mm2, for balancing I order a 1s deligreen solution

Today start working with my 2x 10W in series, very old china panels :D

I planing to buy another solar panels and set it:
1210AN with 1x 330W panel
1206AN with 2x 195W panels in parallel

Meanwhile I finish capacity testing some laptop cels, now i'll give them some weeks to check self discharging

Hej Marcin :)

Great job, how's the outcome and capacity ?
What did you use for fusing ?

Hey, sorry for late reply, now itssomething about 2,7 kWh
For fusing I use Eaton DC breakers, ANL fuse on battery,SchneiderB10 at AC site

----

update :D

added repacked 77pcs. INR18650-29E and 35LGDAS31865, now its 7S40P with ~2,7 kWh
added some breakers, bus barand metal case

I waiting for DC breakersfor PV cables

Battery cable is 25mm^2
Bus bars made from copper20x10mm with holes for M8 screws
Batteries are on brown ceramic

I also was change solar panels for 2x 195W + 1x 315W

Best regards

In addition to the balancer, you need to add some sort of BMS to stop charge/discharge automatically when any one pack gets too high/low. It only takes a quick distraction at the wrong time to ruin the batteries by discharging too much, or a fire by charging too much.

You right, can somebody recommend something cheaper than batrium system?

At the moment you have just a 300W inverter.
Say at peak it uses 600W
When the batteries are near empty, you have a system voltage of just 21V.
So the worst case current draw is 600W/21V ~= 29A

For charging, it should be around 525W / 21V ~= 25A

I think something like the following would be a reasonable start. I'd go with the 60A version. It not much more expensive, you get more safety headroom, and you get the option of using a higher wattage inverter in the future. You may need the USB/PC adapter to configure more advanced parameters.

PS. not affiliated, but I use 3x of those 14s60A types (@30A max) in my powerwall. Very happy with them.

Updated to 7s60p -> 4 kWh
I designed it to 60A max(1A per cell)
Packs busbars are equal for every cell,
I made it from 35mm^2 copper wire

Next step is 60A BMS and main battery busbar (to connect other 7s packs i future)

Nice build, I'm a Tracer fan. Took me some time to tweak the parameter to make it do what I wanted it to do but I'm there now. Have you played with it's ModBus features... That's my next move.

Nice work, I see that you just add and add more cells :D
Right now I test my cell's. I have araund 600pcs. The low voltage which I cannot recover I reject. (under 1V). All cell's which will heat during testing I also reject(They are araund 45-55C) Some of them are really hot(ecpecialy Sanyo with purrple ring(like your on picture - did you test them? are they hot?)
So, I have cold and good cell between 1100mAh and 2600mAh. What can be border to use on my power wall? I was think all above 1800mAh to use.

I have 2x270 24V solar panel.
