Just a bump for this thread. Saw davidpoz on youtube using it.

I read the manual and it's quite impressive. Has capablility for modbus, canbus, multiple temp monitors, outputs for relay/shunt trips, etc. Not too good at balancing but what I've noticed is that if your batteries are properly built it's not really an issue. You can always supplement it with another balancer.

That one is using TI BQ76940 or equal chip right? They are pretty darn competent but as you say not much balancing... But they are out of hte box very cheap and you can have many of them coupled on each string!

There are some github repos about them and even i did one back in the day but never finished it
