Simple,
What would be your soldering iron of choice to solder cells and busbars?
If you must buy a new one?
Aliexpress links prefered.

Or new tips(beat Sean on his tips, good luck)
I got three 100w soldering irons.
Thanks in advance.
Still learning English. Learning Li ion and solar technology.

4200 cells in packs Exclamation above 2500mah and 90%soh.
1500 waiting for testing.

Saving for 3 times phoenix inverter 48/3000 230v to gain also 380v
3 chargers?

Time is our enemy, must work to, the sun is our friend, must relax to.
With best regards

I started with a 300w (too heavy and tip degraded within a week) and a cheap 100w (tip burnt out withing a few weeks).

Settled on  Weller W100PG Weller Farenheit Heavy Duty Soldering Iron with CT6F7 Tip, 100 Watt, 700 Degree.  Have done 5,000+ cells with a couple of these.   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002I7X7ZS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I
use #6 twisted bare copper for busbars.

I'm hoping you mean "liking" and not "licking". Otherwise, licking it while it was hot would be very very bad for your tongue health Tongue

Absolutely loving this - just perfect for soldering cells.  70W, temperature controlled (adjuster is in the grip).  Tip is 5 x 7mm flat(slight dome?), must be coated in Adamantium - no sign of wear at all after soldering 4000 cells.  About $40

With this smaller tip

It will last practically forever. Perfect size and temp for soldering cells or other large pieces of copper/metal.
