I have full faith in OPUS supply being real, but I guess I was giving a warning / eondering about Gearbest as a 'trusted' vendor, more than anything else.

Personally get a couple of Foxnovo and you will be happy as they are reasonably accurate and have none of the "crap diagnostics"all the others claim to have.
They are a simple charge/discharge units and once you check IR of the cell being tested with a proper IR testing appliance(YR1030 or equivalent) you will get a proper results """ period!"""
All of this cell testing is quite simple.
Proper IR for the cell.
Reasonable initial voltage when the cell is liberated from the pack.
Test with the Foxnovo at .5A or 1.0A and get results.

1/ why do i want to buy an OPUS "tester" ... well, 'cause I need more. more to use. more to give away. more to use. got a problem with them? have you chatted with the designer? have you got something CHEAPER or BETTER??? I need 1000mA discharge on all slots, 24x7 ....
2/ personally, I dont test IR, as I am building BIG (did I mention how BIG i build?) batteries. so this IR stuff is no concern to me, at ALL. I _have_ however, recently taken an interest and am skimming some 20-30% of harvested cells off to a 'sad' pile. these have high IR. its more about redirecting cells of my stock for other uses ... I really dont care that much about IR. why should I? seriously ... why should I care about IR? if IR matters ... your battery is TOO SMALL! (**excluding mobile/traction/specialist applications). I mean seriously ... build a bigger battery. get over it. *shrug*.
3/ as for initial voltage when harvesting ... I'm on to a better supply (now that I have processed the half ton of OLD batteries they had) and now i get almost 50% above 2.5V ... primo!!! but seriously, if you are still looking at initial voltage ... you are wasteful / picky / missing the point / not on my wavelength. I am keeping cells out of landfill. more than that Im respecting the CHILD SLAVE LABOR that went into the Cobalt mining to make these cells. I'm NOT trying to find 'the best cells'. I'm sorting through trash to give a Second Life to this Storage.
4/ I'm open to input, but ... I like OPUS 'testers' for now. Probably need one (or two!)
SkyRC MC3000 testers (yummy!!!) for my phase 8 (synergy testing) missions .... but ... I think it very very poor form to dis' the OPUS. kinda like saying Alex Jones is useless, or David Icke is a crank. Cheap shots, which don't amount to much. I understand they (OPUS's) are not perfect. So what? They work well enough and Im grateful for them, and the thought/effort that went into their production.
They weren't any inputs from people that buy from gearbest or buy OPUS's, so Im marking this thread as 'closed'. Thanks all!
