Peter is Common in many countries. Especially sweden
 
In the UK and the Netherlands also, Belgium and Germany not sure.
In Poland it would be Pjotrek.
France, just going to take a swing at: Pepe?
Spain italy Greece no clue.

How about Finland Norway or Denmark?

Hmmm, Piet is very common in Holland belgium and germany.
I think our ancestors and our origin language, has something to do with it.
There are for Europa namly two important streams(up to 6000 years ago) for the language we speak today.
Incl names
I am referring to the west and north of europa, not the slavic corner or mediterranean corner.
