every slot of 4x 18650 holder has his own fuse.
every PCB has a PCB fuse
every PCB can push max 100 A peak (should be 150A on datasheet)
Easy bms mount
they can be stacked easy

Wow, those must be expensive to get made Confused

Interesting concept, looks good, but imho, not practical. The cost of these would far outweigh the cost saving of buying or shelling used cells. How much did this cost to make, including fuses and holders?
Also, how thick are the traces? rev0 had gone through several iterations to make sure the traces were the right size for the full load.

well, i ll reply with some data ASAP (out off office now) 
data come out from a simulation software.
about cost, well it change from when you buy items.

but if you assume that every slot of 4x holder can take max 5A, 16 slot Is 80A and traces should be good enough

i have to edit first value, due to and error in this first draw.

PCB can handle 50A continuos, traces are smaller than last design we made.

next revision will have a revamp on traces + we think to add Temp sensor onboard

Rough estimate for PCB+4xholder+fuses when ordering 100 units from Aliexpress/PCBWay: $8 USD. $6 if placing cells on both sides of a 1/2 size PCB. So a 14S160P battery would cost $840 ~ $1120 without the cells... I'd say not so interesting for Powerwalls, considering the simple plastic brackets cost just $80 total and probably involves a similar amount of assembly effort. Perhaps for a dis-/charging rig.

it's really dependat on where you buy things.

1 4x holder on ali can vary fron 0,56€ to 0,89€
1 glass axial fuse cost 0,03€ on aliexpress
car fuses 50A (0,50€)
pcb (we are looking about it)
so :
0,90€ x 4 = 3,6€
0,03 x 16= 0,5€
car fuse = 0,5€

pcb = ??

cost per cell is 4,6/16 = 28 cents per cell extra
i've seen other pcb module 9€ for 7 cells.

Seems a good extra for safety end other featuers

temp sensor? (we are trying to add it on pcb and "talk" to our management system)
4x 0,5 = 2€


yes, is not the cheaper version, but it's a easy way to stack cells

how much work for replace a cell?
this a easy swap and replace.
time for building :
in 10 minutes i ve soldered 4 holders + 16 fuses and 1 car fuse. and i'm not a "professional" in soldering

So how many amps is this thing supposed to be able to handle? Since this is a 16s1p board, each cell holder can only handle a max of around 5A, and even that will generate heat. So considering these are only 1p, that means no where near a sustained 5A load.
Again, I say this approach is expensive.

Just the PCB's on JLC will cost a lot. Can you provide the gerber so we can get a cost estimate?

gerber isn t free at the moment, we are developing a multiple sistem

will go on kickstarter soon i wish

each board can draw 50A continuos, 100A burst (1sec)

yes holder cant go over 4A each slot or start heat so 4x16 64A due to holder limit
