Hi, new to the forum but not to battery testing. Have tested about 200 cells so far. My best cells are purple Samsung's ICR18650-28A coming in at 2200mah. using a West Mounting Radio CBA III at a discharge of (.2C) and with a 1 amp discharge they will come in at 2150mah. Mytest procedure is to charge at 1amp to 4.2v and cut off at 2.8v.

I like to see what others are harvesting and what your test results are.
Please include
Cell brand model and type
Cell charge voltage
Cell charge current
Cell cut off voltage
Test current

Test equipment

Reply's are much appreciated and many thanks to all. :)

That great I see that comes in at 105% of Panasonic's specs for this cell tested at 20deg C or 101% for a cell tested at 25deg C. Did this cell get warm? Also do you use a PC with that Imax B6 Mini?

Thanks :D

1.3A is less than 0.5C so doesn't get warm at all. The manufacturer shows discharging graph even at 2C and until 2.5v so I think it is really a good cell, a pity that I own only two.

Normally I don't use the Imax with PC, it would be a good idea to paste the discharge graph.

3135mah Sanyo NCR18650BF measured with lii-500 at 0.5A
also got a few panasonic NCR18650B in the 2900's

Oh, best cell for me is my favourite one, actually it isn't the highest capacity cell nor the newest or the best make... it's my personal fav :giggle: like when I was a kid I had my best plastic soldier.

NCR 18650 - LiIon - MH12210 - Made in Japan
Gray - around 2700mAh
Age: 8 to 10 years at least!
Dirty cells with perfect wrap

Can't use them in powerwall so I use them for my bike and for my little power boxes around the house. They are quite old cells found them in old notebook batteries thrown in a box at my dad's old shop. Love them!
Short circuited two some time ago while inserting them into a modified 18650 plastic holder (serial to parallel)... They made a load of white smoke, holder's metal contact became hot bright red and I was real frightened because I didn't know how to get the cell out... got the first tool I had next to me and extracted the cells. Binned both cells.

Second best:
NCR 18650PF - same writings as above
Light green - between 2800 and 2900mAh
Quite new I suppose.
Sent to me by my friend from WeSellCells but too high capacity for my powerwall.

Liitokala 500 for all test, discharge is max 500mAh, sometimes good to get full capacity out of ICR cells (at 1000mAh you'd get a lower capacity).

Got a 3500mAh Red Panasonic B, followed close by a 3400mah series C.

Those are brand new, I received them for testing.

The best cells I have and have ever seen I covered in this post -

Some of these cells are testing into the low 3600s mAh.
