It depends on what you're thinking of doing with this board.
If you're just wanting to understand it or rebuild a tool, that's great.
If you're wanting to use it for a powerwall, then daromer is right: get a new one that you know the full details for.
It would help if you could show the other side of the PCB.
From a look at the side you've posted, it's complexity & # of interconnects suggests it is doing per cell monitoring.
Most power tool ones of any complexity do have low voltage & over current cutouts.
For pack over voltage, they might rely on the charger?
If you're luck it'll do some balancing too but I can't see balancing resistors on this one.
Bottom left 3 in a row are the current sense resistors, so it's doing over current.
Hopefully the other side has some decent MOSFETs to cut-off, etc
