Need a bit of help
#1
I have a 14.8V, 8.6A, 130Wh lithium battery that has a 3 hour quick charger. I would love to use this battery in a diy kit using a small waterproof box and have 1 high speed USB port and possibly a 110v outlet. I know they will work because this battery is made to power lighting at photo shoots but I cannot afford the $300 interface that this plugs into. Can anyone help me figure out what hardware I would need to convert the 14.8V to 5V?

Would this work?

You could wire on an automotive cigar socket and insert a 12vCigar->usb adapter. They should work from 9V~15V at least. Plenty of parts to choose from.
Modular PowerShelf using 3D printed packs.  50kWh and growing.

Something like this will provide USB (5v stepdown) and 12v Cigarette - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DVT...=UTF8&th=1 - by hooking it directly to your 14.8v battery.    The unit itself takes care of 12v -> 5v USB.
