Choosing an old laptop battery to use a cordless drill

This has been stated by many people. Not only in this thread, but in others.

If you ask that question 1 more time, I'm going to assume you are a troll and/or bot and will close the thread

Do NOT use laptop batteries.. none of them are suitable for this use.

You need to find cells from:
  • Other power tools
  • Hover-boards
  • Scooters
Or anything else that requires high drain cells... or, just buy new cells, which is what I do to rebuild power tools.  Its not like you need a bunch of them, and the cost savings trying to get used is small.  I get new for piece of mind, and convenience... the premium is small when you only need a few, and the savings over buying a new pack is still there.

Plus, new quality high drain you can end up with better performance and quality.

I did my own small project using Samsung 25R cells... and the performance is EXCELLENT.
