18650 best soldering technique?
^^^ The key words above are "so far". Claiming that "I've done it many times and nothing bad happened yet" is not a wise method of risk assessment.

Who knows what will happen as powerwalls spread into the hands of the less-skilled general public and such safety-compromised (less skillfully) soldered packs begin to age and degrade. Will dendrites from revived 0V cells (unsafe!) finally grow large enough to pierce thermally damaged separators? Will thermally compromised PTCs and CIDs lead to failed venting hence explosion?

Unfortunately this is likely to happen - sooner or later. It would be irresponsible to make the same mistake that vapers did and fail miserably to adequately inform beginners of the risks.

In any case, at least by now there is a more balanced perspective above in order to help folks assess the risks. Please stay safe folks.
