The title is really random but it really represents my doubt.

I am having trouble FULLY understanding this was of noting down the batteries.

I also see them noted like 3s2p... In this case i understand "p" stands for parallel and "s" for cell?

Not sure about all this and then how 14 cells relate to 48v (14s)?!

Can you please explain? Cant find clear instructions online.

I know... it's very basic question... it's stupid... but i am sure we will get it sorted! BTW didn't find any sticky post with basics, maybe it would be interesting to have one with the basics!

thanks, and SORRY for the question

It's in the FAQ somewhere.. :)

S is series

P is parallel

48v is 14s which is 3.7v * 14 = 51.8V which is normal for a 48v battery.

Then add as many cells in parallel to get more capacity. 100Ah desired / 2aH per cell = 50 cells in P so 14s50p.

Oh sorry, couldn't find it...

I got it now. The "s" was confusing me, i tought it was strange to name CELL with S...

So i ordered some cell holders 4x5 configuration.

This will allow me to get 4s5p or 5s4p if i get it correctly.

If i build 2 packs and connect them i will then get 8s10p or 10s8p.

I also got some individual cell holders than also connect to the 4x5 so i can extend it a bit.

I see the light now! THANK YOU

It's located right here on the forum under Powerwall Builds: FAQ right at the top

Sorry, you can delete this topic, no problem. Thanks! :)

You made a valid point. I made a copy in the other section. I was avoiding doing that cuz it means I have to make changes in both places if there's a change/addition. Gotta figure out how mike made multiple copies and only edits one :p

And I'll leave this one so anyone else who's scanning the forum and see's not FAQ, hopefully will see this one and be redirected to it. Otherwise, they'll get a big rubber hammer on the noggin :p
