2x BMS on one 7S pack with relay i/o mosfets for current.

Hey Guys,

How do you think about that set up:

1. BMS thatwill active ballance battery like ISDT BG-8S or thisBMS 1A ballance with bluetooth
2. PCMthat willonly work as protection circut that cuts load/charger whenever voltage will pass certain level.
2a. will only engage or disengage an relay that pass the main current to battery. (and if any of cell will pass a certain level low or high, will shut off the load/charger)
2b. End voltages could be fully programable - top tier reg. quality (but not pricy as batrium setup)

I do have 7S1P 60Ah SDI cell setup to ballance + 3kW AIMS inverter.
 
Will work but the bms alone is most likely a simpler sollution.
Most likely more costeffective too including the energy Lost for balancing

You are right, I'll rather to keep it simple as well, but good BMS that can handle surge current of ~1000A cost more then my batteries...

How about the simple and relayable BMS with 1A balancing (don't need more, it's simple setup with no parralel cells that I will ballance with charger if needed) and programmable relay cut off ?
 
chargery bms8t (cost me 86 dollars 3 months ago) is a very good bms that can balance at 1.2 amps. I use it on my 220ah 4s lifepo4, but it can do up to an 8s battery pack. All the voltage upper/lower are fully programmable. The one I bought came with a 100 amp shunt but you can add a higher amp one. Since this bms uses contactors instead of mosfetsto control charging/discharging, you can handle as many amps as your contactor can handle. I been using a 30 amp automotive relay (4 dollars) as a contactor.

I been using this bms for almost 2 months on my solar system and has been working extremely well. Only drawback is that its not a small compact bms. But the price is definitely good for what it can do.

Then get a remote tripbreaker that will handle the 1000A, and use the BMS to trip it on an out-of-voltage condition.

Thank you, I've been thinking about this one, and now I'm convinced :D
I'm looking localy avalible good relay that can handle continuous of 100-150A - not easy with limited $$$.
