Hi Arden, The screen you displayed is the signal strength from the laptop and not the Watchmon. In the next release we now interrogate the radio strength from the Watchmon4. There are a few other Wifi changes on the "Tools > Join AP" screen. We are in the process of testing so that the lockup does not impact the system as found in release 1.0.31. Once this is available we will be making a post and ask a few people to evaluate before we release it publically.

thanks it boot looped again tonight it confuses the hell out of the Victron  gx die to comms going up and down
wondering if the drop matches ip address allocation from dhcp  have set it tonight to never expire, usually would use static ip but could find the option

Its not about DHCP expiration unless you have brooken gear that does something stupid about the DHCP functionality. Its just network timeout where the ESP looses connection to the network.

Have to say it's driving me nuts can go 24 hours one day the next will do it 2 or 3 times

If it really is loss of WiFi strength will test this weekend been waiting to try pfsense will set it up as a second WiFi network next to batrium and bridge the 2

Had a play with the network today walked round with a wifi scanner

found that Victron Venus GX ( which is next to batrium ) has a Wi-Fi hot spot on the same channel as my router so turned this off not needed.

no dead spots but some low points so have flashed some other ESPs with router firmware going to make a mesh network hopefully will improve things

That will for sure kill the network if they are on the same channel and that close Smile

The full solution is to wait for the patch. Before that there is no guarantee it wont happen.

I know strangely though the victron gx has updated on Monday to it's latest code and the system has run without hitch since.

Have just logged in and told it not to auto update will running going to leave well alone
