Hi all,

just wanted to ask you a short question as i am still searching (or not sure :)):

Does anyonehave any description or hints on your capacity increase strategy (where you expanded your setup to more kWh) from the basic setupsomewhere in one of the forum threads?

So lets say you start (in my case) with a 7s80p setup. And you decide to increase your capacity.

You know, go upgrade the packs by adding more cells or connect more banks, etc. use a patchbay or something.

Just interested if anyone did that and had issues with it...

Many thanks and best,
Chris

The strategy that most people used is fixed (Soldered) format... that means you need to decide what configuration setup at the beginning and built according to that. Once it is fixed, it will be quite difficult to change. Unless of course you add another string to it. Doing maintenance or repair will still requires tearing down the whole bank to work on.

To do any upgrading, will mean you need to have some form of structure or method which is able to untie, unscrew, unplug design. This way, you can upgrade as your battery volume grows and increase the capacity.

If you build in fixed string you can always bring 1 string down at a time if you build it like that. I always recomend to build n+1. ie always one reserve/spare.

Always have 1 string extra that you can bring out. Always have 1 pack extra that you can add to a string if needed. I have that on my banks and all strings have its own fuse/disconnect switch.
