This is intended to be an on going thread where you can trade your "unmatched" cells to other DIY'ers in return for "like" cells.
I thought about this today because I got a large load of 18650's with several different brands and capacities and wondered if anyone else might want to play along here. The intent is to build a better balanced finish product. All with similar chemistry, esr, mah. (ESR being the most important aspect, then capacity).
OUT ( I want to get rid off)
QTY: 100, ICR26F (pink), 2600-2670 mah(tested), ESR 100-130mOhm.
These are 100% genuine Samsung cells and have been tested. ESR was tested in accordance with the datasheet.
IN (what I would like)
QTY: 118, LG ICR18650S2(peach), 2200mah (tested), ESR 100-130mOhm
This isan even trade for 2,600,000 mahs of power.
The battery I am building right now is primarily made up of the LG and Id like to keep in "uniform and even." There is nothing (at all) wrong with the Samsung cells and I will use them if I have too, but would rather swap them out if someone in DIY world needs them and has the LG to trade.
Worth a shot and lets see if the idea catches on. I build A LOT of power banks/ power walls and have A BUNCH of cells all the time! Post away and hopefullymany others think this is a great idea and we all get a "More Balanced" build.
