Yes.

On an individual cell level, you want fast blown fuses.

On a pack level, there may be a use for PTC fuses. They are useful for protecting packs while still retaining functionality at a reduced power rate.
Sorry to bother you guys, but is there a reason I can't edit my posts after a certain time anymore?

Is only this thread BlueSword or all of them ?

Split and moved these posts to the Feedback section. If this an issue, Mike needs to know about it and not be hidden inside another thread.

As a moderator, I haven't had any issues.

hahah, i waited to late to post the reply :p Mike already saw it. He's quick!

Ah I get it now.

Usually, I just edit posts to add info, and correcting information.

I will never delete a post, because it hugely helps helps newbies and people who look online for help.

It's really important to keep info alive and doing well :D

I have also encountered the "missing" edit button on occasion.

I often times go back and edit my own posts for spelling, grammar, or perhaps even an incomplete thought or a re-organization of thought.

This forum is forcing me to spend more time editing, reading, and re-reading before I hit post haha. A little more time might not be a bad idea... especially when I am "working" at work.

6 hours? or minutes? it "was" 60 minutes. or am i missing something. Which, wouldn't be unheard of.

I post quite a bit in the Australia Whirlpool tech forum & I think they have the edit period set to about 24hrs.
Ie enough to go back & edit typos I've made :) or add extra info.
I tend to post in the evening & re-read the next morning ie 12hrs later so 6hrs wouldn't really be good for me!

Ohhhh, I got it now. The timer 'locks' the post so it can't be edited anymore. Gotcha. :p I was thinking it was they were having trouble editing after they posted. Not later down the road when they wanted to correct something.

:p  :shy: ;)

@mike, let's just make it a day. That would be perfect. Or is that a bit much?

mike could we make 'levels' like once you pass 200 posts or something it allows longer?

I am concerned with the timing issue when i want to edit price in marketplace...
when i post a new post with updated price i have several prices within one thread and everyone is confused.

Can you allow editing in market place for longer time?

It is also a topic in build threads. When something develops over time one cant update first thread with the building instruction

The question is what you want to avoid with the restriction... i would not restrict it!

Regards
Karl

What Charly114 said. I was about to say the same thing. It would be useful if the original poster could always edit their post, or even just the top post with updated info.
