Hi guys,
I am getting a lot of ebike packs for building my powerwall. A lot of them are 7s but most of them are 10s. For some time i was looking for a 10s balance charger in order to test and charge them up before disassembling.
Shortly I got one from my local kind of craigs list for a good price. It is a chargery 10s 500w balance charger which seemed quite ok.
Pros:
- 10s
- 20A current
- can charge 10s with 28V supply voltage
- graphical user interface
Cons:
- display is quite sensitive on angle from where you look on it
- when you hold increase and decrease button you dont see increase or decrease of value but in the background value has changed and youre immediately from 20A to 1A but just wanted perhaps go down from 20A to 18A only. I hopy you understand what I mean
And now my main concerns
- with some packs it stops charging at 4V even when charging up to 4.2V is set. No time out no capacity cut off...
- I had on 1s pack with 130Ah which I wanted to charge to full and as I did a check in between and I couldnt believe what I saw. Voltage of the pack was at 4.6V even after disconnecting!!!!!
I have checked settings but end voltage was set at 4.2 but it didnt stop. This is dangerous!!!!!!!!!
Conclusio: nothing can beat my icharger 208b, it does what it should do - always and precise
Maybe I am able to get a 1010b at some point in time.
Can someone share my experience with the chargery or does have an idea how this can happen?
Regards
Karl
