Hi Peter, or Others

I apologise if this has been asked before

From a Queensland/Australia Specific Point of view

How to you fare with dealing with Energex in regards to dealing with their requirement to have a "certified solar designer"

Do you have someone that is signing off on the work on your behalf?

I've been looking to increase my solar system and add a battery unit, however the first port of call has been the Energex website for approval and some of the questions that are required to be completed, became an issue for me, thus the reason for my question above.

I split your question to its own thread.

I cant answer for your area but where I live we need certified electricians to approve some parts. I let mine do all High voltage stuff needed and all the Approvals. Of course all stuff used need to be CE certified in my area.

I solve this issue by leaving my grid tie alone and then having completely separate off-grid setup

Are you using an Automatic Transfer Switch for the load connected to the Off-grid setup to switch back to the grid, or are you just manually switching this as required?
