Esperyd´s Raspberry PI project

If by this you mean daromer's RS232-to-USB adapter, I can vouch for those built with Prolific's chip inside and available on Amazon where I got mine. It works like a charm on my PCM60x, so you may want to search on there. It's auto-recognized on Linux. On Windows, appropriate drivers are available on Prolific's website.

@daromer, sorry I mean the USB/seriell converter.

I Bought a used Pi b, and installed the ISO. When it boots up, it shows no WIFI symbol in the corner. It shows two arrows pointing up and down for cabled connection.
If i hover the mouse over the symbol it says " No wireless devices found"
Figured it could be a hardware issue, but when i installed a clean Raspbian os using NOOB it connected to WIFI just fine.

When hovering the mouse over the network symbol in the ISO there is an ip adress. If i post that i a browser, i get to a wifi connection site that "daromer" made. it shows my wifi and lets me put in the code and click connect.
Unfortuanetly, the only think that seems to happen is that the two arrows in the symbol changes to two lines with red X´s on the ends.

The welcome page that shows up after putting in the pi´s IP, sayes that there is an automatic AF for connecting to wifi. I tryed to shord the two pins mentioned, but nothing seemed to change.
It also sayes something about what to write to get back to manual, but then nothing is specified.

Does anyone know what might be the issue and how to fix it?

Try to set up the wireless network via your mobile instead from the PI itselt. I have not tried it from the Pie own browser so perhaps that is causing the issue?
When you press save from your mobile the PI should reboot and come online

I never managed to get to the setup page on my phone, but it turned out that the wifi network which was set up by an apple airport extreme was the problem.
I made a new network from a new wifi router, and that solved the problem.
I managed to setup the network connection by going to the ip adress from the browser on the pi.

Interesting. Would like to know why it didnt work on your old wireless network. Some "weird" crypt algoritm used not supported by my image?

No. It seemed to me to be as standard as wifi goes. The wifi router is in bridge mode to another wifi router. I dont know if that would change anything.

Hello,

I recently ran into a huge problem:

My 32 GB SD-Card was completely filled up and solar power monitor / grafana stopped working....

I started a search for the most space consuming files/folders and found out the following folder of InfluxDB, that was completely filled up with .tsm files within a few hours during one night:

Does anyone have that same problem and knows how to fix it ?
I already searched on the internet and found out that this might be a bug that is fixed in more recent versions of InfluxDB.
Is it possible to update InfluxDB or provide a new ISO-Image with recent versions of InfluxDB, Grafana etc ?
Thank you !

How much data are you filling the database with? I have not seen above issue as such my self on that version but you can of course upgrade influxdb if you want.

I'm using the solar-sis/pip4084 script. I extended the calls.json with 3 additional fields that my inverter provides:

In the QPIGS-section, after

        "device_status": 1,

I extended with

        "battery_voltage_offset_fans_on": 1,
        "eeprom_version": 1,
        "pv_charge_power": 1

(deleted
        "charging_scc": ["device_status", "8", "5", "6"],
        "charging_ac": ["device_status", "8", "6", "7"],
        "charging_scc_acc": ["device_status", "8", "7", "8"]
which caused problems)

Besides that I did not make any changes and the system ran stable for about 4 months. Then within two hours, 25 GB of that .tsm-Files were written. I cant't believe that my inverter sends so much data in that short time...

Did you already upgrade your Influx and know how to do it ? Is there an apt-get method or similar ? Can I delete the .tsm-Files or will this corrupt the whole database ?
