All,
Im building a 48v Nissan Leaf based Powerwall. Im looking for a good BMS to keep everything working well.
The entire bank will be 20kwh.
I see Batrium offers a solution but Im looking for other options.
Anyone else using a different solution?

Hi, only today i installed a similar system, using 1/2 a leaf pack, 21 leaf cells in total configures in a 3p 7s setup.I am using a LUX LXP3600 AC coupled inverter.I purchased a ZEVA bms that hasnt arrived yet, its in transit, the zeva bms has canbus comms, I sent the zeva team the canbus data for the lux inverter, they have slighly modified their canbus program to hopefully allow the bms to communicate and work with the inverter, if it doesnt work first time out, they will work with me to debug and work on site. The inverter and battery was only installed today, the battery is hooked up the inverter and is working under a lead acid battery progile with my upper and lower vltage limits included, this in only for testing and commissioning, it wont run like this, only to test out the inverter is charging and discharging correctly. When he bms arrives, hopefully it will work straight out of the box. Im using cell loggers fo rnw to keep an eye on the cell voltages, and a jld404 is keeping an eye pack voltage max and min whilst the bms is not fitted.Anth ony

Hi,
I am building a (for now) 49kwh powerwall using 2 leaf batteries + 2 modules. I am using REC BMS + SMA Sunny Island 8.0H inverter. REC has Can-bus to the battery inverter so everything is integrated ::)

16s?

No, 14s28P. Each complete battery consist of 48 modules that each has 2S2P setup.*2 + 2 modules extra gives 392 cells. Each cell is 3.8v/32ah. so 47.6kwh max rated capacity. Will try to include 49 more modules when i get hold of it, to reduce strain on batteries. I normally use about 40-50khw pr day, and have 20kwp solar system, so normal use from batteries will be 25-35kwh a day. But west coast of Norway is rainy, so a bigger buffer makes me self sufficient from mid feb to mid november. Im connected to grid, so for the last 3 months i will also use electricity from grid.

This looks great.
Did you configure the SMA Sunny Island yourself.
I bought a 6.0H from my local SMA agent and they have no idea how to configure it.
can you please help?
regards
