Well I only just started collecting cells.
Have plans to work my way up, but am finding it hard to get laptop batteries.

Once batteries enter the recycling program they become inaccessible to the average Joe and most end up being destroyed because of the value of the raw materials here.

Anyone have ideas?

Already asked the local recyclers, computer stores and some large businesses and have a couple of classified ads.

Definitely have to keep at it - Recycle centers are tapped out - try Hospitals, government departments & SCHOOLS - schools have been great for me in Australia especially private schools.

Here in Ontario all government run facilities must use approved recyclers. So hospitals an local government are out. Most schools but also.

Great advice .. still valuable and made me think. As a result I was pointed to some other contacts that I am going to check with.

Thanks,

Keep in mind - any company that has an IT department might be good to have a chat to :) Ring said company, casually ask for the IT Department, if you get put through - have a script ready so you don't waste their time - get in, get out get their email address so you can 'chat' in 12 months time when they realize they have to clean up :)
