Hi From Rotterdam the Netherlands
#1
Hi,

My name is Jur, 43 from Rotterdam the Netherlands.

I started a phone-charging-service at music festivals in 2009.
The handling of the phones became to much, (single charging them in cabinets) so I  came up with the idea of renting out powerbanks in 2012.
And the next year implemented it.

Extra cool was, that we could brand the sleeves. Smile

The 2013 version had a FST-18650 2200mAh
The 2014-2015 versions had a Samsung 18650 cell with 2600mah.

in 2016 we upgraded to a nice flat model with a 4000mAh Li-Po (WD 606090/PF15 3.7v ) 1A out
in 2017 we upgraded the output to 1.5 A out
in 2018 we upgraded the output to 2.1A out.

So now I'm here, joining the forum, because:

1 - I love to design and build stuff. (build the first 8 charging cabinets myself (400 slots each) + the newer 4 x 10ft charging containers 3456 slots each )
2 - I have all the tools I would need , from spotwelder to cnc-router in my 400+m2 wood-workshop.
3 - I literally have 20.000+ (old) powerbanks / batteries at my disposal.
4 - I like to recycle and up-cycle.
5 - I know my limitations and need some advice from time to time.

So, Hi there!

This was a bit overkill, most of the walnut wooden casings are OK and saved for some other future project.
The rest of the wood goes in the burner to heat the workshop.
