Recently interested in batteries and making 18650 battery packs for some cool old cars that I want to convert to electric and making a battery for my house.
My first project will be a grid tied time of use battery for my house. I have a Nissan Leaf and was able to get on the electric company's EV time of use rate schedule. Peak hours are $.45-$.32 kWh from 2pm to 9pm with off peak at $.12 from 11pm-7am. So my goal is to create a system that will provide power to the house from the batteries during peak hours then charge the car and the house battery duringoff peak hours.Luckily I don't have any AC to worry about just some TVs,refrigerators and computers.
