How do I know when it's charged?

I'm building a 48v battery for a scooter. Is there a way of knowing when the BMS has finished charging thebattery? Perhaps another add on board/light that will light up or go out when it's done? Thanks.
 
BMS's do not charge. A charge controller charges. If the BMS stops the charger, then it's because it detected an overvoltage condition.

Please elaborate on your setup. We aren't exactly clairvoyant here. Altho, some believe they are, but have been proved otherwise.
 
Simple chargers look for a rise in voltage at target "full" voltage. You'd ideally want the CC/CV charge where the charger terminates when current has dropped away (absorption done) + an out of spec "stop right now, we've got a fault!" input from the BMS.

Slightly off topic but that is one reason my posts are as detailed as I can get with pictures and explanations as to avoid the necessity of others to guess what I am trying to say, ask, or do.

I don't know of any off hand of any commercial BMS that have that functionality, they either either dumb ones with no central CPU, or smart ones you talk to over bluetooth, USB etc.
A simple set of status LEDs should be an obvious design choice, but clearly that hasn't happened.

Various people on this forum are building their own BMS systems, as the chinese ones lack reliability and ability to customize.
