How to charge and test lipo?
#1
Hello everbody,

I am starting to experiment with batterys.
Right now i just opended some old laptop batterys i had at home and did some research. I already bought a opus BT-C3100 to charge and test this cells.

So now i got my handy on a new battery.. i guess its a so called „lipo“. (Please see picture)
This is written on the lipo:
PSEBATTERY
H802235 580 mAh
2.15Wh HC 14A05

First: what kind is this battery? => lipo?

Second: how can i charge and test the capacity of it?
If possible as cheap as possibe as im just experimenting right now...

Would be great to get some help from you!

Thanks,

Did you forget to upload the picture?

I'm guessing you can probably charge/test it with an imax.

Thanks,

LiPo is Lithium polymer battery. Is another chemistry and also for different shapes. Newer slim lounge devices tend to use lipo batteries.

I charged primastic battery with Opus. If qll you have is tabs, use crocodile clips and connect to something like imax as mentioned

That battery looks puffed up like it's damaged/defective?

If there's physical damage or its swollen, I'd put it straight into battery recycling
